Float Plan starts a little dark. Anna is in a slump and suffering from depression due to her boyfriend committing suicide. She decides she needs a break and something different.

Anna impulsively hops on her boyfriends’ boat for an adventure they planned together. The trip should have been with him but she left alone.

Sailing is not an easy task to handle on your own. After she docks, she searches for someone to help her sail around paradise. She hires Keane to help sail and teach her more about her boat.

For me - this is a five star read. My only wish is that there was more!!

I loved that the book covers depression and suicide. Not that I love those things BUT I feel like this makes the book more relatable. It is okay to grieve and to be sad, but the author talks about overcoming these things.

Keane, one of the main characters, has a prosthetic leg. You can actually see this on the cute cover pictured below. I love how Keane overcomes obstacles and demonstrates some of his struggles. The author also discusses some of the care for the prosthetic, an element I enjoyed.

I did have to look up some sailing terminology.

All I wanted was more - this was a pretty short and quick read. Definitely a great beach or vacation read
